Roo helping to wash a basket I purchased from the op shop. I love having an almost-toddler:

Baskets are one of my weaknesses. I have always liked them but had little use for them. Now that I have a child to prepare activities for I have an excuse to have many, many baskets. In other things I am very minimalist, but since this is my first time providing activities for a baby, I find I need lots of baskets and trays in varying sizes and shapes while I figure out what I need at each time I set up activities or organise toys.

I went to an op shop today that was keeping it old school with the prices – what a find! In addition to about fifteen items for activities for Roo (posts to come), I came home with an addition to my collection that is unlike any other basket I own. The cleaned basket sitting outside to dry:
